[STUDENT] Yeah, I am so ready to start school. The college seems really great. Alright. Talk to you later.
[NARRATOR] Are you really ready to start school? Do you know how you will be paying the costs? Have you applied for Financial Aid? There are some things you’ll need to know, and things you’ll need to do before you can start classes.
[STAFF] Maysville Community & Technical College is dedicated to providing our students with a high quality, affordable education. Over 80% of our students receive some type of financial aid. We offer federal and state grants, work study opportunities, loan programs, and scholarships.
Financial Aid can help you pay for school related expenses, such as tuition, fees, books, supplies, and more.
[STAFF] You can find information about financial aid online by visiting the Maysville Community and Technical College’s website at maysville.kctcs.edu. Just use your mouse to select the Costs & Financial Aid link on this page. You can then navigate between the links found in the Costs & Financial Aid menu as shown here. The information available, such as the Financial Aid frequently asked questions, can answer many of the questions you might have about financial aid.
[STAFF] You can also select the “Contact Us” link from the menu for a list of the college’s Financial Aid Staff. You may contact the Financial Aid offices with questions or if you need assistance completing the steps required to receive financial aid.
Our financial Aid offices for the Maysville Campus are located in the Calvert building. A friendly face at the front desk can assist you in locating the office of the staff member you need to see.
For assistance at the Licking Valley Campus, please visit the offices located in room L203b.
On the Rowan Campus, you can get help with financial aid in room 101A.
And for our Paris Extension, please visit room 009C for assistance.
Remember! The campus in which you originally enrolled as a student is considered to be your home campus. You must visit and interact with the staff on that particular campus for all of your financial aid matters.
[NARRATOR] So who should apply for financial aid? Well there are a few requirements that you must meet in order to be eligible for financial aid.
You must be a U.S. citizen or eligible noncitizen.
You must be registered with the Selective Service, if required by law.
You must be working toward a degree, diploma, or certificate.
You must be making satisfactory academic progress, also known as SAP.
