Mr. Russ Ward, Maysville Community and Technical College’s interim chief academic officer, has released the Dean's List and the President’s Honors List for full and part-time students for the spring 2016 semester. MCTC offers associate degrees, diplomas and certificates in nearly 30 programs of study with classes offered on the Maysville Campus, the Licking Valley Campus in Cynthiana, the Rowan Campus in Morehead and the Montgomery Campus in Mt. Sterling as well as online.

Maysville Community and Technical College held three commencement ceremonies to recognize and honor graduates. Graduates from the Maysville campus attended a ceremony held at the Mason County High School fieldhouse on Friday, May 6th. On Tuesday, May 9th, students graduating from the Licking Valley campus in Cynthiana attended a ceremony in the Harrison County High School auditorium. A combined ceremony for both the Rowan and Montgomery campuses was held in Button Auditorium on the campus of Morehead State University on Tuesday, May 10th.

Plans for the Maysville Community and Technical College commencement ceremonies for Summer 2015, Fall 2015 and Spring 2016 graduates have been finalized. All graduates, families and friends are invited to attend.

Earlier this month thousands of spectators poured into the Arena at Montgomery County High School for the 10th region boys basketball tournament. Amongst the crowd were twelve high school students, fully intending to watch the games, not be part of the action. For the first time in history, Maysville Community and Technical College (MCTC) partnered with the Kentucky High School Athletic Association to create a unique and fun way to award six full tuition scholarships towards an associate degree.

When you talk to Sarah Elam, you will observe instantly that she has a laid-back and easygoing spirit about her. However, as you really get to know her, you soon realize that under that soft-spoken voice and sweet smile lies a determined, unstoppable young woman. The RCSHS senior, along with classmates Nicole Plank and Sarah Purdy, will earn an Associate in Science degree from Maysville Community and Technical College, immediately following high school graduation this spring.

Sarah Purdy excels not only on the basketball court for the Rowan County Senior High School Lady Vikings but also as a full-time college student. This spring, Purdy plans to walk across the stage to receive a high school diploma, and then attend commencement ceremonies at Maysville Community and Technical College to receive an Associate in Science degree.

Nicole Plank is not your average high school student. This spring, Nicole will be graduating from Rowan County Senior High School with her high school diploma. After she walks across the stage, she will attend the Maysville Community and Technical College commencement ceremonies to receive her Associate in Science degree. The Early College pilot program at RCSHS, along with continuous hard work, has afforded Nicole this opportunity.

Frankfort, KY-Business leaders from across the region concerned about the loss of funding to Maysville Community and Technical College (MCTC) and the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) made their voices heard on Thursday, February 18. The rally took place in the Capitol Rotunda and was part of the KCTCS Fuel the Force initiative, a statewide advocacy campaign, led by business leaders to inform elected officials about the dire need of increased public postsecondary education state appropriations.

Maysville Community and Technical College (MCTC), the local UK Cooperative Extensions and Ohio State University, invites all families and community members to a free evening of education and fun for all ages. Farm and Family Night will be held Tuesday, March 8th, from 5:00 p.m. – 8:45 p.m. on the Maysville Campus of MCTC with dinner starting at 5:00 pm. Farm Credit Services of Mid-America is the title sponsor for the event.
